1. Install grub into your computer
#apt-get install grub
#mkdir /boot/grub
2. Copy the template configuration file into /boot/grub
# cp /usr/share/doc/grub/examples/menu.lst /boot/grub/
3. Configure the menu.lst
#vi /boot/grub/menu.lst
- add those into the file
title My Kernel (2.6.21.5)
kernel /boot/vmlinuz-2.6.21.5 /dev/hda1 ro
boot
4. Write the grub into MBR
#grub-install /dev/hda
